Since the end of the 1960s, Israeli civil aviation has been a prime target for terror attacks, in many different scenarios. The mission to protect Israeli civil aviation was assigned to the Israel Security Agency (ISA). The ISA, an intelligence organization in nature, was required to develop diverse capabilities in the field. And since than has become one of leading aviation security agencies in the world.
